Decode Your Dog's Personality through Their Zodiac Sign, by Maria Hayes Published 04-27-2023
Dogs are a man’s best friend. Loyal to their master until the very end, many people consider dogs to be an angel sent by the universe to help them cope with life’s challenges.
For their part, these canines have allowed themselves to be domesticated, becoming an integral part of not just our lives, but of our society as well. In fact, they have developed distinct personalities during this process.
For many people, this means that they have also become guided by the stars, paving the way for them to be influenced by cosmic movements.
And so, it is important to understand how these animals have developed their own character through their Zodiac signs.
This way, humans and dogs can understand one another better, and forge a much deeper and more meaningful relationship despite obvious differences. Here’s a rundown of the 12 Zodiacs and what it means for your dog.
Much like a ram, an Aries dog is feisty, passionate, and playful. They want to be in stimulating environments and prefer to run free while also spending time with you as their master.
When deprived of anything that prompts them to be active, they start pacing, howling, or even scratching furniture. After all, they simply have so much pent up energy inside them!
These dogs are gentle and simply want to be pampered to high heaven. They know that they are their master’s darlings, and enjoy feeling safe and cared for.
Threats are something that keeps them uneasy, as it keeps them teetering on the edge, and must therefore be eliminated from their immediate environment. Another thing to take note of these dogs is their stubbornness.
If they want to play ball, then you play that with them or else your dog will most likely roll their eyes at you.
If you looked at your dog and thought that they seem to have a dual personality, then they might have. They are both sides of a coin all at once, making them quite the roller coaster that their owners might not have expected to have.
But they are also smart and able to adjust to sudden changes around them. One minute they can be having a great time chasing butterflies, the next moment they are already socializing with other dogs and their masters!
Dogs born under this sign are absolute sweethearts. They love to look after their humans, and want those around them to feel comfortable by their presence.
Their tendency for shyness can also be a problem for them, but once they feel at ease, they will start interacting with those around them with gentleness and care.
The great outdoors is something that these dogs love. Adventure is out there, and they want to explore them all!
This is not only because they love to be active, but mainly because they know that when they are going around, people will pay attention to them. Once they receive everyone’s attention, they will start strutting around like the supermodel that they know that they are.
These dogs are highly intelligent and are unfazed under high stakes situations. They would simply think through everything and proceed with whatever it is that they think will help them get out of a situation easily.
Travelling is also something that they are partial to, as it allows you to spend more time with them. The thing is, they want to be clean at all times- something that isn’t guaranteed if you are going around.
Order and structure is something that these dogs love. When they see things go the way that they are supposed to, they feel at ease and eager to go along with whatever it is that is happening around them. They are also eager to embrace change, and adapt to whatever situation with so much gusto.
These dogs are very much attuned to their feelings. They get emotional easily, especially when they feel distressed.
Scorpio dogs also happen to be quite the grudge holder. If they were offended by something or someone (say, a dog stole their bone when they were not looking), they will eternally hold it against that individual and think of ways in which they will be able to get back.
This type of dog is down for anything that the universe will throw their way, whether it be a stick or tasty bone. Sagittarius dogs love to be around people and other animals, and they feel like they are at their best form when they get to socialize with others.
Their intelligence also allows them to learn tricks easily, although this can be quite a double edged sword.
Wise old dogs may sound like something that you can only find in stories, but as it happens, they also exist in real life. Dogs born under Capricorn tend to be refined and mild mannered, and easy to teach important things such as potty training, among others.
You can even count on them to guard your house, and they will sit on your porch, silently looking at everything and everyone while posing in a very posh way.
If there’s any dog who truly follows their instinct, this would be it. Aquarius are highly intelligent, and are able to sense the sudden changes in their environment so that they can use the info to their advantage.
They are also very curious and more than eager to learn about things, while also having a big heart that is kind and compassionate to anyone- even a stranger.
These dogs are sweet and love to get into all kinds of crazy situations. They would simply go with the flow and enjoy everything that is happening, even when everyone is freaking out.
If they see their humans feeling a bit down on the dumps, then they also feel that way. Their empathetic nature thus enables them to build close, strong relationships with their owner.
